Subsea Company Makes the Final 10 in National Awards

The Aberdeen-based company joins nine businesses from a variety of sectors in the national finals to be held in London on 24th November 2009.

The awards recognise innovation and entrepreneurial spirit from companies across the UK that have been trading for less than three years. flexlife will go against nine remaining finalists, hailing from London and the south of England, for the prize of £25,000.

Since its initial start up in 2007, flexlife has doubled in size and recorded a turnover of £3million in its second year.

Stuart Mitchell, director of integrity at flexlife, said:

"We are thrilled to be through to the finals and for our work to be identified at a national level. As a company representing Scotland, we are proud to be recognised for our creativity and enthusiasm."

We are developing products for remaining service life assessment. Our products will allow for annulus condition to be assessed in minutes rather than hours.

We will also be able to offer reliable real time riser monitoring systems. They will be simple and feed a decision matrix allowing the operator to know what to do and when immediately.

We use OrcaFlex for the system design of riser systems and associated ancillary equipment as well as dynamic installation analysis, providing in our opinion the best and most flexible software solution to our analysis requirements.
