Subsea Specialists Represent Scotland in National Final

Flexlife is the only company in the north-east to have reached the national finals of the awards which celebrate the innovation and dedication of entrepreneurs in today's competitive marketplace.  The 25 finalists will now await the results of the ninth annual awards ceremony which take place in London on November 24 with a £25,000 prize for the winner.

With a wide spread of business start-ups ranging from oil and gas to food and drink, the competition was open to entries from any sector. The awards were open to businesses that have been trading for less than three years.

Flexlife was formed in April 2007 and recorded a turnover of £3million in its second year.

The company has more than doubled in size this year to employ 20 staff and anticipates employing at least 50 people by 2012.

Flexlife director Stuart Mitchell said: "We are thrilled to be in the national final of the awards and to be representing Scotland. The competition seems to be fierce, with a high standard of finalists, and we look forward to the challenge!"
